Valuation Team

As a co-founder of ValueLink, Mr. William Chen is mainly responsible for strategic planning, brand management, human resources and product development. He is also responsible for the organization structure and channel expansion of ValueLink Valuation.

Mr. William Chen has over 15 years of experience in financial sector. His career began in a financial department of a Fortune Global 500 company. He then joined a world-renowned asset valuation firm where he participated in and led many valuation assignments for listed or IPO candidates in China, US and Hong Kong stock exchanges, covering M&A, assets stripping, project financing, restructuring, initial public offering (IPO), fairness opinions and valuation on statutory purposes in China. Mr. William Chen specializes in handling large-scale acquisition transactions and complicated derivative financial products. He is also skilled at handling computer programming language such as VB, Visual Studio, C++ and Matlab.

Mr. William Chen holds a MBA degree of Tsinghua University. He is a member of the American Society of Appraisers, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV).

Mr. Thomas Yan is a managing partner of ValueLink Valuation Beijing office. He is responsible for project performance, channel establishment and business development in North China.

Mr. Thomas Yan has eight years of professional experience in the finance and accounting industry. His career began in KPMG Huazhen and he then joined a world-renowned asset valuation firm. He participated in many valuation assignments for listed or IPO candidates in NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, covering initial public offering (IPO) and M&A. Afterwards, Mr. Yan worked in the transaction advisory department of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he provided valuation analysis and advisory services in relation to asset and equity transfers, corporate restructuring, M&A, stripping and liquidation for listed and non-listed companies, including investment opportunity analysis, model analysis and post transaction synergies services. He also participated in various investment projects of multinational enterprises.

Mr. Thomas Yan holds a master degree in finance of EDHEC Business School and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Mr. Chapman Sun is a managing partner of ValueLink Valuation’s Shanghai office. He is responsible for project organisation, channel establishment and business development in North China.

Mr. Chapman Sun is an experienced professional and expert in the finance and valuation industry with over nine years of the relevant experience. He is experienced in advisory services of many industries, including TMT, asset management, healthcare, manufacturing, chemicals, education, fast moving consumer goods and real estate. Mr. Chapman Sun’s career began in a tax consulting firm and he then worked in world-class valuation companies and valuation departments of the Big Four accounting firms. Before joining ValueLink Valuation, he worked as a senior manager in the valuation department of Big Four accounting firms where he is responsible for reviewing valuation reports as an audit support function and providing valuation and consultancy services to large stated-owned enterprises, transnational companies and listed companies.

Throughout the years, Mr. Chapman Sun participated in and led a series of valuation projects for listed or IPO candidates in US and Hong Kong stock exchanges. He also handled lots of large-scale M&A transaction for domestic firms as well as multinational companies in China. Mr. Chapman Sun’s experience includes valuation for financial reporting, fairness opinions, transaction support, tax compliance, risk management, portfolio funds as well as financial modelling. Mr. Chapman Sun specializes in valuation of intangible assets and financial instruments.

Mr. Chapman Sun holds a master degree (MSc) in finance and a MBA degree of EDHEC Business School, and a bachelor degree in economies of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. Mr. Chapman Sun is also a member of CFA Institute.

Mr. Luo Junjun is the Chief Asset Valuer as well as a partner of ValueLink Valuation. He handles all statutory valuation assignments of ValueLink Valuation and is mainly responsible for the valuation assignments such as material asset reorganization, reverse takeovers, private placement and filing of stated-owned assets. Further, he is also responsible for overall risk management.

For over 10-year career in the valuation industry, Mr. Luo Junjun has extensive practical experience in valuation arena, especially in corporate valuation, M&A, reorganization and intangible assets valuation. Mr. Luo Junjun is familiar with the relevant laws, regulations, standards and bylaws in China. Further, he is also familiar with the capital market and routinely handles large projects, thus ensures coordination between the parties and help proceed the transaction. Before joining ValueLink Valuation, Mr. Luo Junjun worked as a vice president and chief valuer in a well-known asset valuation limited company where he is responsible for the projects performance and quality control and risk management systems.

Throughout his career, Mr. Luo Junjun led and participated in numerous statutory valuation projects, including restructuring and listing, M&A of listed companies, material asset reorganization of listed companies, reverse takeovers, Sino-foreign cooperation, equity transfers, equity contributions, financial reporting, pledges of intangible assets etc. Further, Mr. Luo Junjun is efficient in communicating with regulatory authorities in China, such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the SASAC, The CSRC, Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and tax authorities. Mr. Luo Junjun specializes in material asset reorganization projects in which he maintains efficient communication between clients and regulatory authorities to facilitate the deal conclusion in a timely manner.

Miss Yuki Shao is a director of ValueLink Valuation, Shanghai Office. Her focus is placed on project management, distribution channel management and business development efforts in East China.

Miss Yuki Shao is a valuation specialist and has about 10 years of experience in professional valuation services. She has been involved in various projects covering a broad spectrum of industries, including education, manufacturing, TMT, automobile, healthcare, retail, food & beverage, solar energy, etc. Miss Yuki Shao's career began in the valuation sector of PricewaterhouseCoopers and later she joined an internationally reputable asset valuation firm. Before joining ValueLink, she worked as a senior manager in a Hong Kong based consulting firm, where she was responsible for advisory services such as business valuation, intangible assets valuation and valuation of financial instruments.

Throughout the years, Miss Yuki Shao has worked with many state-owned enterprises, public companies, multi-national corporations and private equity funds. Moreover, she participated in and led a series of valuation services for IPO candidates in US and Hong Kong stock exchanges, covering asset valuation, modeling, asset pricing and advisory services.

Miss Yuki Shao holds a bachelor degree in finance from Shanghai Fudan University. Miss Yuki Shao is also a member of CFA Institute and a FRM of Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Transaction Team

As a co-founder of ValueLink, Mr. John Zhang is mainly responsible for strategic planning, business development and human resource work for the transaction department of ValueLink.

Mr. Zhang was with Ernst & Young in his early career where he participated in the audit work for the listing of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Dongfeng Motor and some other large enterprises. He then moved to M&A advisory department of Deloitte & Touche where he served renowned domestic and foreign investment institutions such as Blackstone, Warburg Pincus, CDH Investments, Softbank SAIF and Northern Light Venture Capital as well as international enterprises such as Air China and Bertelsmann. He has over ten years of experience in top-tier industry leaders and participated in equity financing and M&A with transaction amount totalling over US$2,000 million.

Mr. John Zhang has extensive experience in different capital markets, PE and VC investment institutions and has maintained close cooperation with major listed companies and M&A funds. Mr. John Zhang is one of the founding partner of ValueLink and is mainly responsible for financing and M&A transactions.

Ms. Lily Li is a managing partner (Beijing) of ValueLink Transaction. She is mainly responsible for project performance and business development of due diligence business in North China.

In her career, she had been with the audit department of PricewaterhouseCoopers and the financial advisory department of Deloitte & Touche. She joined Deloitte & Touche (Beijing) Financial Advisory Co., Ltd. as a deputy director of the M&A transactions services department in 2006 where she took charge of and participated in more than 60 financial due diligence and valuation projects covering internet, B2C e-commerce, IT, fast-moving consumption, manufacturing, energy, agriculture and other industries with clients including many well-known risk investment, private funds, state-owned enterprises, listed companies and multinational enterprises. From 2011 to 2012, she served as a manager for M&A transactions business in the Sydney office of Deloitte & Touche in Australia. She was then responsible for and participated in the cross-border transactions between China and Australia.
Ms. Lily Li joined ValueLink in 2015 and is responsible for transactions related services.

Ms. Stephanie Shi is a managing partner (Shanghai) of ValueLink Transaction. She is mainly responsible for project management and business development of due diligence and financial advisory service line in East China.

Ms. Stephanie Shi has over 11 years of experience in financial, audit and investment sector. She worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers and led a team to complete a series US listing projects of China private firms. She then joined a fund under the Communist Youth League where she led a team to execute due diligence and post-investment management for many fund-invested portfolio companies and finally completed the project through listing on the growth enterprises market. Before joining ValueLink Transaction, she worked in Porsche and was responsible for the review on risk management and process management of Porsche Group in China. After the merger of Porsche and Volkswagen, the management and business model of the group changed from family business to listed enterprise.

She is experienced in advisory services in various industries and served enterprises in industries such as new media, high technology, manufacturing, medicine, education and fast-moving consumer goods. She focuses on services such as corporate listing, background analysis & decision-making for investment, accounts clearing, designing internal control system and process optimization.

Ms. Stephanie Shi is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). She holds a bachelor degree in accountancy from Tongji University and a MBA degree in from Hong Kong University.

Financial Team

Ms. Zhao is in charge of the accounting advisory services department of ValueLink. She has over 14 years of experience in financial and audit work. She worked in Deloitte & Touche as an auditor for five years, where she provided professional audit services for different firms listed in US, Singapore and Hong Kong. She then joined a large entertainment international group as the chief financial officer. She led and completed new equity financing, acquisition of Hong Kong listed companies and other tasks.

With respect to the private enterprises seeking listing opportunities in China or foreign countries, Ms. Zhao has extensive experience in accounting related advisory services. She led our advisory team to provide IPO financial document preparation, accounts clearing, internal control design, process optimization, accounting standards conversion, tax planning, options design and other services for a series of companies preparing to be listed in China and foreign countries. With respect to investment in private funds, Ms. Zhao also has extensive experience in providing financial and tax advisory services and due diligence services.

Ms. Yang is responsible for project management and business development of the accounting advisory services department.

Ms. Yang has 20 years of working experience in financial internal control sector. She had worked as chief internal control officer, chief financial officer, compliance office and other key positions in Volkswagen, HP China, IKEA and other international companies. She was a senior manager of the Beijing branch of PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked in the audit department and management advisory department for a total of eight years.

Her professional expertise mainly focuses on the management consultancy in relation to financial management and internal control, including financial accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, financial performance evaluation, control management, financial policies and procedures and other financial functions. In addition, due diligence for M&A, financial consolidation after M&A, tax, internal audit, internal control compliance and other sectors are also covered.

Ms. Yang is a Chinese Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chinese Certified Tax Agent (CTA). She graduated from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University with a master degree in business administration.
